In 2017, D’Wanna began researching elective surgery. After years of modeling and small acting roles, she grew tired of working out in the gym daily. After extensive research and with the support of her husband, she underwent plastic surgery procedures on different parts of her body.

After a successful surgery, D’Wanna began to consider her months of research and preparation, along with the many plastic surgery horror stories she heard in the media. This convinced her of one thing—she had to write Skip the Tea—Let’s Talk Surgery. With plastic surgery numbers growing exponentially every year, D’Wanna wanted to produce a one-stop guide to help women make the best choices for getting the bodies they’ll love. Most importantly, she wants to save lives, as there is a growing underground market for plastic surgery, as well as many women going to different countries for surgery without doing the initial proper research.

Reviewers have hailed Skip the Tea as a ‘must have guide’ for plastic surgery.
